Yu-hua Ho
I’m a mixed-media illustrator, who makes colorful, whimsical,
and richly-textured artwork for children’s picture book.
My creative process thrives on experimentation with diverse materials, each one sparking fresh ideas for artwork. Influenced by the playful spirit of Eric Carle’s illustrations, I utilized the unique texture of tissue paper in my graduate project, “Shh! The Secret Adventure.”
In 2026, I had the honor of being selected for the Children’s Book Illustration Mentorship hosted by the Kaohsiung Public Library. The intensive curriculum significantly enhanced my storytelling skills, and through the process of feedback and discussion with my mentors, I produced a children’s book, Can I Help?
